The ENGAGE team is made of a group of talented individuals, our core teams skills consists of Project Management, Audio Visual Management, Technical Design and Production Management, Brand Activation Strategy and Ideation, OH&S and Risk management, Food and Beverage Design and Management, Location/Venue Procurement, Budgeting and Reporting. We also count many of Australia’s finest contractors as part of our inspiring team so no matter how large or small your project is we have the capabilities to accomodate your requirements.


TJ Carroll – Director and Creative Producer

With over a decade of experience in the events space TJ Carroll is well known for her innovate and ground breaking Brand Activation ideas.

Starting off as a Project Manager with one of Melbourne’s leading event companies TJ forged a name for herself through her ability to work across both the strategy and creative sides of the business. Coming up with the event strategy and executing the creative is something very few in the industry can do, and do it well.

In the last 10 years her enviable reputation has seen her injecting passion and creativity into branded experiences for clients such as AAMI, L’Oreal, City of Melbourne, Grocon, Investec Bank, Downer EDI Engineering, Australia Chamber Orchestra, Superpartners, Don and Kr to name a few.

Now heading up Engage at Disegno and offering everything from Brand Experience events to point of sale, guerilla marketing to product sampling, pop-up stores to Event Planning and beyond. With her double barrel skill set TJ is able to add a huge amount of value to her clients and help them bring their products to life.

What has seen TJ grow and stay at the top of the Brand Activation; Experiential Marketing and Event Design space is her devotion to detail and leadership. Her tireless enthusiasm ensures each experience is seamless, distinctive and valuable. 

TJ thrives on the challenge of creating and coordinating all facets of experiential events and is passionate about developing new concepts that provide impact and value beyond the activation through social media and public relations. 

Simon Andrews – Account Manager

A recent addition to the ENGAGE team, Simon brings with him many years’ experience designing and managing events and campaigns in the retail and property sectors. An almost dogged determination to develop authentic and memorable customer experiences has seen him progress through his career, from completing an honours degree in Fine Art, as well as qualifications in marketing and management, to managing campaigns for national retailers, and holding Events roles at Westfield assets around the country as well as in the Westfield National Marketing team in Sydney. He most recently managed Events and Sponsorships for key clients at Starcom MediaVest.

Simon’s strength lies in his creativity and ability to see life through the eyes of a consumer and then develop experiences that appeal to that consumer. Passionate about innovation and delivering results to clients, we’re excited to have Simon on board.

Damien Boecasse – Project Coordinator

Damien brings with him a rich and diverse skill set with extensive experience overseas in New york, Milan, and London. His portfolio of communication and brand activation event campaigns spanning Microsoft to Jean-Paul Gautier demonstrates his ability to generate engaging concepts and deliver seamless executions for the most challenging brands.

Since making the move down-under, he has successfully brought his expertise and strategy to clients in property, media and hospitality with considerable results.

Damien honed his skills in his Communications and Marketing degree allowing him to have a complete understanding of marketing and social media objectives when designing brand activation event concepts.

Passion and a unique background are not the only strengths of this high-achiever. Trained in interior design in Paris, Damien’s creativity and styling are strong assets in building memorable brand experiences. 

At ENGAGE Damien excels in the management of projects, bringing your campaigns to life and delivering successful brand activation events.

Amanda Lee – Project and Events Coordinator

Amanda is by far the most hands on creative team member here at Engage, who said ‘cut and paste’ would never come in handy when you become apart of the big bad world had no idea of how it would impact the consumer market today.

Prior to taking on the Project Coordinator role at Engage, Amanda had been a supplier of ours for a couple of years. Her ability to translate our experiential marketing ideas into custom creations enabled us to reflect our specific concepts through thought-provoking and attention grabbing installations, props and assets. 

Amanda has completed an Honours degree in Design at the prestigious RMIT University. This formal learning has enabled Amanda to develop creative design solutions and clearly articulate ideas within specific constraints.

Working with her enables us to really hone in and bring our precisely planned experiential marketing and brand activation campaigns to life with her custom made installations and props.

Amanda could also be given the title of Event Designer as her creations have been used for fashion shoots, runway shows, brand launch events and visual merchandising solutions.

Her undeniable passion and creative energy add a wonderful dynamic to the Engage team. 

Erika Hirzinger – Project Assistant

Erika’s CV, whilst nearer to the beginning than the end, already boasts an enviable array of experiences that make her a very worthy addition to the ENGAGE team. With experiences ranging from VM through to mortgage broking, cheerleading and costume design, Erika has a great eye, an appreciation for value, energy to burn and strength in planning. Erika is also an admin gun with a can-do attitude, who doesn’t miss a beat. And, as if that wasn’t enough, she’s an award-winning graduate from the College of Event Management! Told you it was enviable!

Erika is the cheerleader of the team that keeps the ENGAGE spirit alive, and she’s keen to take on all the exciting projects our clients can throw at her! Bring it on!

Mages Ruiz Diaz – Project and Events Manager

With ten years of know-how, here and in Argentina, Mages has designed and managed large-scale projects for worldwide brands and agencies, government entities and non-profit organizations, generating real meaning for all involved. Working for Google, Sony, Kraft, Ford and Argentina's government allowed her to produce a vision through the many hands and minds of international teams, from the grip to the general director, and immerse key clients in a myriad of brand experiences.

Mages diverse background as a producer of film, award-winning TV series, corporate events, digital, guerrilla marketing actions, brand activations, case studies, music concerts, art exhibitions, and startup projects has led her to Melbourne, where she has been managing various types of ventures such as: the TEDxMelbourne main event since August 2014.

At Engage Mages merges creative development and project management methodology in order to deliver unique and well executed experiential marketing, product promotion, and event design results.

Supporting the event team, contractors and specialists with appropriate teamwork and management tools, as well as creating the right environment for them to trust and collaborate, is also Mages’ role when event planning for Engage.

Laura Fireman – Account and Events Manager

Laura brings a slightly warped but always bright and zingy creativity to the ENGAGE team. Having worked in events and marketing for more than 16 years in London, Rio & now Sydney, she is our resident Blog Queen as well as our Sydney-based Event Manager who always injects sparks of passion & energy into her projects. A dynamic & creative thinker with excellent organisation & implementation skills, she thrives when working with our team of Event Designers & Planners to create something unique & exciting - be it an experiential marketing campaign, brand activation or corporate Christmas party.

Laura brings a wealth of global knowledge and insight to all events, and has worked for a diverse range of clients, including: MTV, HMV UK, iiNet, The Australian Chamber Orchestra, The Chemical Brothers & Oasis, to name a few. A passionate “do-er” who really brings events alive, she thrives on coming up witrh orginal Live Marketing and Brand Immersion concepts and is not afraid to get down & dirty to make amazing things happen for our clients.
